The Costa Mesa Tennis Center, located by TeWinkle Park, offers hourly court rentals, beginner to advanced lessons and competitive leagues. As part of the City of Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation department, the CMTC is open every day of the week and has United States Professional Tennis Association certified tennis instructors. Group and private lessons are offered year round for people ages 4 and up.
Competitive leagues are formed for intermediate and advanced players looking for a little friendly competition. Matches are played once a week for about three months. After which, a playoff bracket is formed with seeding based on players’ regular season performance. The winner of the playoff bracket is crowned the overall champion of the league.
Adult group lessons teach aspiring players basic tennis skills like serving, strategy and fitness conditioning. There are 6-8 people per instructor for adult lessons.
The CMTC is the Orange County training facility for the Southern California Tennis Association’s top ranked players youth players. The SCTA program brings the highest ranked youth tennis players within geographic regions together to practice and compete.
The CMTC also has a full service pro shop, run by head instructor Hank Lloyd, for everything from gear and accessories to getting your racket restrung.
From beginners to top-ranked tennis players, the Costa Mesa Tennis Center serves players of all ages and abilities.
