The OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) is at the heart of Costa Mesa’s vibrant year-round events calendar, hosting more than 150 events and attracting more than 2 million visitors annually. The center is home to Centennial Farm, Pacific Amphitheatre and one of the largest fairs in the United States, the OC Fair.
The Fair itself receives more than one million visitors each year. OCFEC's 150 acres has been the home of the OC Fair ever since 1949; it has expanded to an annual 23-day summer event. The OCFEC's mission is “the Celebration of Orange County's Communities, Interests, Agriculture and Heritage.”
Centennial Farm opened in 1988 and is a working farm for educating youth about agriculture and farming – the complex has fruit and vegetable gardens as well as livestock barns. The farm welcomes more than 25,000 students annually for free educational tours. Much of the yield of the wide variety of fruits and vegetables grown at the farm goes to area food banks and other charitable groups through the efforts of local volunteer groups.
The Pacific Amphitheatre is an outdoor concert venue seating approximately 8,300 located at the OC Fair & Event Center and presents one of the top concert lineups in California. The Amphitheatre has hosted world-famous acts including Bob Dylan, Roger Daltrey and The Offspring, along with pop-culture stars like Selena Gomez, One Direction and LeAnn Rimes. The Pacific Amphitheatre Summer Concert Series draws concert goers from all over Orange County and the Southland, and shows held during the OC Fair include free fair admission.
In 2017, Heroes Hall Veterans Museum opened as a year-round attraction within the OC Fair & Event Center. Heroes Hall offers exhibits, interactive events, performances and educational programs that celebrate the legacy of veterans in our armed services from Orange County.
