Located in Newport Beach, Davey’s Locker has been providing whale watching cruises for over 40 years to both residents and visitors from throughout Southern California. three different types of whale watches including their Signature Whale Watch, Luxury Whale Watch, and Super Rib Whale Watch offered year-round. View giant blue whales, humpback whales and finback whales during the summer and fall months. Gray whales are viewed during their annual migration during the winter and spring months along with humpback whales and minke whales. Over half dozen different species of dolphin are also viewed including the giant risso dolphin over 12 feet in length, bottlenose dolphin, white sided dolphin, common dolphin, and more. Often dolphin can be seen in large or even super pods number in hundreds to over 1000. Harbor seals, sea lions, and all sorts of other marine life can also be viewed on the 2-2.5 hour cruises.

Davey’s Locker also offers sportfishing trips daily with half-day, ¾-day or overnight fishing trips to choose from. All trips are open to the general public.. They can catch barracuda, halibut, sand bass, calico bass, red snapper, giant yellowtail, white sea-bass and many other species. Their ¾-day trips average 10 hours and fish over 40 miles of coastline or exotic Catalina Island. Fishermen can catch yellowtail, barracuda, bonito, calico bass, sand bass, white sea-bass, halibut and yellowfin tuna. Hundreds of fish per trip is common with almost nonstop action. The fleet has state-of-the-art electronics, spacious indoor/outdoor seating and full amenities including a full-service snack bar and kitchen. Crew members are onboard to assist with anything you might need. Rod rental, tackle, and anything you might need for your fishing trip is also available at check in.
