TeWinkle Park

970 Arlington Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA, 92626

TeWinkle Park was named after Charles TeWinkle, who moved to Costa Mesa in 1920 with his wife.  Mr. TeWinkle was a local businessman and director of several local banks. He was elected the first mayor of the newly incorporated City of Costa Mesa in 1953. The 49-acre park was officially dedicated as TeWinkle Park on January 31, 1965.

There are 3 shelters, 3 restrooms, 5 barbecues, 30 picnic tables, one playground, one baseball field, 2 softball fields, a utility field, 12 tennis courts, an amphitheater and a lake with a waterfall in TeWinkle Park. Wild ducks can often be seen swimming around in the lake and people are allowed to feed them. Angels Playground for children is located in TeWinkle Park. This is a fun place for children to play together and experience some of childhood's most basic joys. The Costa Mesa Bark Park is also located inside TeWinkle Park.
