Ruin Bar is a small, kitschy neighborhood bar located in the heart of The LAB shopping center in Costa Mesa's SoBeCa district. The main seating in the bar is piano benches, with a piano built into the bar that guests can actually play! The décor includes items collected from all over the world during the owner's travels including items from Belgium and Switzerland (a ski gondola). Patrons can have also fun counting the number of cats in the bar - probably finding a new cat art piece or statue each visit.
Ruin offers Soju cocktails along with beer and wine. Soju is a Korean distilled alcohol traditionally made from rice, wheat or barley. Ruin is experimenting with Soju Bloody Mary's and Martinis.
Ruin is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., and is closed Sunday and Monday.
