Event Description

Every week, come learn the roots and rhythms of this Indigenous Hawaiian dance practice with master teacher Toni M. Kemehana Pasion. Tuesday Night Dance is fun, upbeat, and designed for all ages and abilities—all are welcome, no dance experience required.

Meet your instructor!
Toni M. Kemehana Pasion is an Inland Empire-based dancer, educator, and community organizer who specializes in Indigenous Hawaiian and Philippine dance practices. She is a Lecturer of Dance at the University of California- Riverside, Company Choreographer at Infuse Dance Studio, and Dance Instructor for the Philippine American Intercultural School-Inland Empire. She is an alumni of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, University of California, Riverside, and Santa Monica College. Toni has extensive performance experience across Hawaii, Southern California, and throughout the Pacific Islands. She holds the Kumu Hula she has had the honor to learn from throughout the span of 23 years in high regard: Kumu Mahealani Linder, Kumu Tony Conjugacion, Kumu Keali?i Ceballos, Kumu Aulii Mitchell, and Kumu Deborah Doody. Toni's work internationalizes how indigenous worldviews, dance, and storytelling can serve as tools for connection amongst diverse groups of people.
