Lord of the Strings Concerts presents: Brooks Robertson, Sonke Meinen and Friends. These musicians will perform as part of the center’s ongoing Lord of The Strings Concert Series. Applauded around the world as the finest young guitarists, destined to set new heights to acoustic guitar music, this group of international "Young Guns" will set the new standard for touring guitar shows!
Brooks utilizes his superb technical abilities to play bass, rhythm and melody simultaneously and surpass the borders of conventional genres. He merges hauntingly beautiful compositions, country rhythms and jazzy harmonies with funky licks into his very own art form.
Lyrical ballads meet finger-breaking virtuosity, jaw-ping originals meet ingenious covers, nylon strings meet steel strings. Soenke Meinen only needs two thumbs, eight fingers and one guitar to create music that brims over with creativity and textual dexterity. There’s no need for a band here!
