The audience is in the middle of the action in this fun, experiential show as Dorothy and her friends battle the Wicked Witch to find the brains, the heart and the courage they never knew they had. Inspired by L. Frank Baum’s original stories, this clever adaptation puts the audience front and center by allowing children in the audience to take on key roles, including Munchkins, Winkies, and even Dorothy. Before we adventure through Oz, join us at Samueli Theater for fun, free pre-show activities! Help build a yellow brick road by sharing what you would want to ask the Wizard, just like the Lion, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Dorothy. Then, tap into your creativity and explore the world of wardrobe and costuming by designing a flying monkey hat. Arrive an hour early to enjoy all the activities!
