Water Grill, a premium seafood concept by King’s Seafood Co., opened October 2016 across from South Coast Plaza. Taking inspiration from a refurbished ship, the restaurant features reclaimed locally sourced woods and authentic nautical components paired with rustic and iron finishes. Water Grill has a changing daily menu to ensure they offer the freshest seafood available that day. Enjoy their house specialty crudos or iced shellfish platters, or choose from a variety of fresh whole fish to be charcoal grilled or oven roasted. The 17,500-square-foot space has a spacious outdoor dining patio and an oyster bar.
The exhibition kitchen showcases large sea water tanks displaying an assortment of live products including Wild Barents Sea Red King Crab, Washington State Dungeness Crab, Santa Barbara Spot Prawns and local Spiny Lobster. Lunch and dinner favorites include Wild Columbia River King Salmon with lemon nage and heirloom tomatoes or the Crudo Sampler with wild Tahitian bigeye tuna. The 550-seat fine dining venue includes private dining rooms that can seat up to 200 guests for business or social events.
