Manpuku, means “to be happy with a full stomach” in Japanese. Yakiniku literally means “grilled meat” in Japanese. At a Yakiniku restaurant, bite-sized cuts of raw beef, pork, seafood and vegetables are cooked to perfection at your table over gas or charcoal grills. Their signature dish is Beef Tongue with Tokyo Negi, which is slices of fresh tongue seasoned with salted minced scallions. Tableside grills and the ambiance make this a great place to celebrate milestones. Brad Johnson, food critic from the OC Register, once made it one of his top dining picks in OC. Make reservations at least a day in advance.
