The main hubs of the SoBeCa district, an acronym meaning South On Bristol, Entertainment, Arts, Culture, are the progressive shopping centers the LAB and the CAMP.

Health and Wellness Event at the OC Mix in Costa Mesa
The OC Mix, SoCo Collection and Living Fit OC collaborated to bring awareness to living a healthy lifestyle. With vendors, free demos and giveaways the OC Mix was transformed into a destination for a guide to health-related products, activities and resources.
Jason Quinn of the Playground in Downtown Santa Ana, and winner of season two of the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race, provided a free cooking demonstration at Surfas Culinary District from 11 am – 1 pm. Quinn focused on healthy recipes that utilized fresh, local ingredients. Read More

Snoopy House Returns to Costa Mesa City Hall
The Snoopy House Holiday Display returns once again to illuminate Costa Mesa City Hall during the holiday season. The elaborate display was an east side Costa Mesa neighborhood tradition for 44 years. Due to a home foreclosure in 2011, the Peanuts-themed display moved to the City Hall building at 77 Fair Drive, located across the street from the OC Fair & Event Center.

Early November Events in Costa Mesa
With Election Day tomorrow and the upcoming annual November events of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this week’s events in Costa Mesa provide a calm before the holiday storm. November generally marks the beginning of winter. For Orange County visitors and residents, this doesn’t mean cold, harsh weather, but it does mean that the holiday season has arrived. We know November as the eleventh month of the year, however, on the Roman calendar it was the ninth month of the year. The root word, “novem” means nine. In homage to the Roman calendar, we thought we would share nine non-holiday events in Costa Mesa before images of food, shopping and in-laws inundate you until the New Year.
