Orange County Restaurant Week returns March 3-9. Don’t miss the chance to explore some of Costa Mesa’s most popular restaurant menus! Keep reading below for a preview of what you’ll find at participating Costa Mesa restaurants.
AnQi by Crustacean
For $25, take a three-course lunch beginning with your choice of three appetizers followed by your choice of the chef’s market salad with chicken satay, pho ribeye dip sandwich or AnQi street noodles. End the meal with a selection of sorbets.
Dinner includes three-courses for $50, with an optional $20 upgrade for a whole pan roasted Maine Lobster. Starters include the restaurant’s award-winning tombo tuna tacos, crispy pastrami egg rolls or sweet corn ravioli. Next, take your pick between seven spice salmon or crustacean shaken beef, featuring Chef An’s secret sauce before ending the meal with warm beignets or matcha cheesecake.
Descanso Restaurant
Just $15 will get you a killer taco lunch at Costa Mesa’s newest addition, Descanso Restaurant. Start the meal with caldo de hongos sopa or Mexican slaw before digging into your selection of two tacos including everything from carnitas to Mahi Mahi, or a signature quesadilla.
Dinner includes three courses for $30, with entrees like Steelhead salmon booked in citrus butter, steak Albanil, Mezcal glazed shrimp and grilled Jidori chicken with Chile Peron orange relish and sweet pepper “Toreados.” Pair your meal with the signature restaurant week cocktail, the Cucumber + Sal Margarita, and end it with Conchas con Helado, a Mexican sweet bread, vanilla ice cream and seasonal fruit jam.
Filomena’s Italian Kitchen
Choose from hoagies, pizza or pasta with a salad and drink for Filomena’s Italian Kitchen $15 Restaurant Week lunch menu.
For dinner, $30, choose between a glass of red or white wine, a salad and entrees including Pappardelle Bolognese, Champagne chicken or roasted salmon. Finish the meal off with the Bakery Chef’s daily special or gelato!
Hana r’e Sushi
This popular and intimate sushi bar, whose chef has been named among the best in Orange County by restaurant critics, is offering a luxe prix fixe OC Restaurant Week menu including six courses. To start, choose your drink: Japanese beer, sake or wine. The dinner menu begins with surinagashi, a cauliflower soup with snow crab, and includes everything from sashimi and nigiri sushi to roasted duck and cherry trout in sea urchin sauce.
La Vida Cantina
La Vida Cantina’s $20 prix fixe dinner menu includes a choice of a starter and entrees like campechano tacos, chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, chilaquiles and cochinita pipil. For dessert, take your pick between churros or sopapillas. And don’t forget to add a house Jose Cuervo Traditional Silver house margarita for $5.
Memphis Café
Find some comfort in Memphis Café’s $30 prix fixe dinner menu. Start with down home gumbo, roasted beet and arugula salad or duck and goat cheese flautas before choosing between buttermilk fried chicken, pork chops, fried catfish or breakfast for dinner (chicken and waffles). And last but not least, finish the meal off with a peach and berry cobbler or bananas Foster bread pudding.
Newport Rib Company
Barbeque fans will love Newport Rib Company’s $30 OC Restaurant Week menu, complete with a choice of slow roasted tri-tip, prime rib, baby back ribs, grilled salmon and BBQ, Hawaiian or lemon garlic chicken. Each dinner comes with all the fixings – cornbread, vegetables, fruit and a choice of two additional sides, as well as an appetizer and dessert. For $10 more, upgrade to choose from beef brisket, pulled pork, St. Louis ribs and Louisiana hot sausages.
Playa Mesa
Enjoy lunch for $15 with modern taqueria Playa Mesa’s OC Restaurant Week menu including a selection of tacos, enchiladas queso and suizas pollo. The dinner menu, $20 includes the same entrees available at lunch, with a small guacamole and mini bunuelos dessert.
Rance’s Chicago Pizza
Rance’s Chicago Pizza is offering a family-friendly deal of lunch for two ($20) or dinner for four ($40). For lunch, enjoy one small pizza of your choice with two half salads and fountain drinks. For dinner, split a full salad with a choice of appetizer and medium pizza. Add a pint of beer or glass of wine for just $4.
Seasons 52
Choose from lunch or dinner at Seasons 52, known for its fresh, seasonal menu. The $20 OC Restaurant Week lunch includes a choice of soup or flatbread followed by roasted half chicken, sesame grilled salmon salad, wood-grilled rainbow trout or the signature cheeseburger and a dessert treat.
The dinner menu, $40, includes four courses beginning with a flatbread and with entrée choices including Kona-crusted lamb loin, cedar plank salmon, Chilean sea bass and wood grilled filet mignon. End the meal with a mini indulgence dessert and don’t forget to try the OC Restaurant Week signature cocktail, the Bourbon Berry Bramble.
SOCIAL Costa Mesa
This local favorite is offering a three-course Restaurant Week dinner menu including starters like cucumber and tomato salad, brussels sprouts or whipped burrata and entrees like Wagyu tri tip, half brown butter chicken and pan seared cod. For dessert, indulge in a creamy budino.
Tackle Box
Former “Top Chef” contestant Brian Huskey is serving up a $20 three-course menu for the week at Tackle Box, including starters like his chowder tater tots and buffalo cauliflower followed by a choice of pork katsu burger, fish n chips, truffle mac n cheese or vegetarian burger. For dessert, enjoy a fudge brownie with berries and butter pecan ice cream.
TERRACE by Mix Mix
Ross Pangilinan is known for his fresh fusion cuisine and OC Restaurant Week is the perfect time to try it out. A $25 prix-fixe lunch at TERRACE by Mix Mix includes a choice of starter like albacore tostada, goat cheese toast or chicken liver toast, along with an entrée like Filipino pork longanisa, market fish or housemade agnolotti and a decadent panna cotta or tropical dessert. Dinner, $50, offers an addition course and expanded entrée options like crispy duck leg, along with a wine pairing for three courses.
The Capital Grille
Enjoy a three-course lunch at The Capital Grille for $25, including a choice of greens or New England Clam Chowder to start and The Grille’s signature cheeseburger, pan seared salmon or tenderloin salad as an entrée.
For dinner, take you pick between an 8oz. filet mignon, bone-in dry aged NY strip, herb roasted chicken or seared citrus salmon with sides.
The Country Club
Take on brunch at The Country Club for $20. Start with a Bloody Mary or botanical spritz before diving into the weekly donut offering and your choice of any brunch entrée.
Or, stop in for a three-course $40 dinner. Start with your choice between Hamachi tartare “tacos,” grilled little gem salad or charred broccolini and fennel soup before an entrée of local white sea bass, petit filet or tagliatelle. End the meal with a chocolate mousse or caramelized white chocolate bread pudding.
Toast Kitchen & Bakery
Toast Kitchen & Bakery, one of the newest restaurants in Costa Mesa, is offering both lunch and dinner OC Restaurant Week menus. The $15 lunch menu includes choice of starter like its decadent avocado toast or beet salad and entrees like Thai Chile chilaquiles, pork belly, grilled salmon salad or fried chicken sandwich. End with a lemongrass panna cotta or salted chocolate chip pecan cookie.
For dinner, $20, choose from entrees like Cajun shrimp and grits, wagyu buger or orange chicken and black sesame waffle after a starter and before dessert.
Wild Goose Tavern
If elevated pub grub is your thing, head to Wild Goose Tavern for a $10 lunch including a starter of small salad, tots or truffle fries. For entrees, choose between wild boar sausage, short rib grilled cheese, bison chili, a caprese burger or vegetarian yam quinoa burger. For dinner, you’ll also enjoy fried Oreos for dessert.
Yard House
Yard House’s OC Restaurant Week menu includes a generous offering of starter and entrée options like Nashville hot chicken sandwich, ahi crunchy salad, blackened shrimp taco, chicken tortilla soup and mac and cheese for a $15 lunch. For dinner, $30, start with boneless wings, spinach cheese dip or a jumbo pretzel before digging into entrees like parmesan crusted pork loin, coconut shrimp, poke bowl or chicken fried rice bowl. Then, end the night with a mini chocolate soufflé cake, cheesecake brulee or peach apple cobbler.
