A New Year’s Eve Special Event – Scott’s and Kinky Boots

Posted on December 8, 2014 | 9:00am | Travel Costa Mesa

There’s tons of great 2014 New Year’s Eve events going on around Orange County, but one we’re really excited about this year is offered at Scott’s Restaurant & Bar. Scott’s is offering a special New Year’s Eve dinner package that includes a ticket for the Tony Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

For the sumptuous, 3-course New Year’s Eve dinner created by Chef Michael Doctulero, start with appetizer choices including lobster ravioli, braised pork belly and kumamoto oysters in a cucumber mignonette. The entree choices include Skuna Bay salmon, filet mignon, seared Maine scallops, and for dessert we recomment Scott’s luxurious chocolate ganache cake.scallops

After dinner, take a leisurely stroll over to Segerstrom Center for the Arts to see Kinky Boots!  The musical was based on the 2005 film “Kinky Boots” by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth, and inspired by a true story. Kinky Boots features a joyous, Tony-winning score by ’80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper, direction and Tony-winning choreography by Jerry Mitchell and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein. This inspirational story follows a struggling shoe factory owner who works to turn his business around with help from Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. Together, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible… proving that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world.

The Scott’s New Year’s Eve package includes complimentary valet, dinner and show ticket, plus complimentary re-entry to Scott’s to continue your New Year’s celebration after the show. In addition to this exclusive package, Scott’s is starting the package seating at 4:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m., and is also offering a 2nd seating starting at 8:30 to 11 p.m.

To enjoy a complete and safe New Year’s Eve, the best idea is to get a room at one of our Costa Mesa hotels for the evening. Hotels within walking distance are The Westin South Coast Plaza, Avenue of the Arts, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and Costa Mesa Marriott, with the Hilton Costa Mesa and Crowne Plaza just a short distance away.
