Enter your photos now in the Costa Mesa Picture Perfect Contest!

The Costa Mesa Conference & Visitor Bureau (CMCVB) is sponsoring a photo contest to showcase the diverse array of art, culture, dining and events that Costa Mesa has to offer. Each photo submitted may be used in various CMCVB publications as well as on the website, to promote the Costa Mesa destination as a fun and exciting place for out-of-town visitors.

At the end of the year, all photos submitted during 2010 will be judged. The first-place winner will receive a $500 South Coast Plaza gift certificate, second place will receive a $300 South Coast Plaza gift certificate and third place will earn a $150 South Coast Plaza gift certificate.

Photos will be judged based on content and quality. An entry form must be submitted with each photo. So grab your camera and help show our visitors what a wonderful place Costa Mesa is!


Contest Rules

  1. Anyone is eligible to enter the contest; however, the photos must be taken in Costa Mesa.
  2. Photos must be in good taste.
  3. Entries must be received no later than December 31, 2010, to be eligible.
  4. Either digital images or prints may be submitted. All photos must be in color, minimum 4”x6”, maximum 8”x10”. Digital images must be at least 300 dpi in TIFF, JPEG or EPS formats, submitted via the webpage.
  5. All entries become the property of the CMCVB and will not be returned.
  6. The CMCVB reserves the right to crop photos.
  7. Photo credit is not guaranteed for all uses of image by CMCVB.
  8. The CMCVB assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to submitted photographs.
  9. Each photo must be submitted on the entry form page, which includes a publicity release/permission to reprint form. All accepted photos may be used in various media formats for an unlimited amount of time and at no cost to the CMCVB.
  10. Contest entrants agree to all the rules and regulations set forth and by the decisions made by the judges.
  11. Judges decisions are final.
  12. The CMCVB is not responsible for any inaccurate or incorrect information.
  13. The CMCVB reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest without notice.

Photo Hints
The CMCVB is looking for photos that represent all four seasons. Some ideas are photos of events, recreational activities, landmarks, cultural activities, nature and attractions. If you were a visitor, where would you go? Be a tourist in your own town!
