In celebration of its newly redesigned meetings, event, and conference spaces, the Wyndham Orange County announces the “Make Your Own Meeting” Twitter contest, taking place November 1-30, 2010. As a component of the “Make Your Own Meeting” initiative, the hotel encourages business professionals to tweet about their ideal meeting amenity or themed break in hopes of securing that amenity at their next business meeting held at the hotel. The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity—be it a desire for leather recliners for all meeting attendees or a complimentary seven-course catered lunch by the hotel’s celebrated executive chef, Robert Biebrich. Calling all collector car aficionados!  Get ready to start your engines (or at least your car fantasies).

The Barrett-Jackson Auction Company LLC, host of “The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™”, has announced plans to return to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa on June 24-26, 2011.

According to Barrett-Jackson officials, the inaugural edition of the auction drew more than 58,000 visitors and sold 395 cars for a total of more than $15 million when it debuted in Costa Mesa this past June.

Barrett-Jackson also helped raise more than $1 million for charity at the event and local hotels and restaurants reported increased business as a result of the auction coming to town. Read More

THREAD Show, the multi-city shopping event promoting emerging designers and artists, is headed to Orange County as the next stop on its 2010 tour. In each market, THREAD will showcase 100 independent designers, as well as complementary music, art, food and entertainment.
