The British Are Coming…to South Coast Plaza, That Is!
People around the world are abuzz about the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton this week, and the timing just couldn’t be more perfect to celebrate “Brit Week” in Costa Mesa. BritWeek, the annual celebration of all things British in California, begins its Orange County events with a Royal Reception in South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court on Saturday, April 30 at 5pm. This event requires an RSVP by April 26, but there is no charge to attend. The next day’s event will roll into South Coast Plaza Sunday, May 1 from 1-4 PM with a display of iconic British cars and rousing musical entertainment courtesy of a 35-piece British band, along with scrumptious food, valuable prizes and more. There is also no charge to attend this event.

Macy’s Announces Appearance by Famed Chef Ming Tsai
Macy’s Culinary Council, Chef MingTsai, will host a cooking demo and book signing at Macy’s South Coast Plaza location in Costa Mesa, CA.
Who/What: Macy’s Culinary Council chef Ming Tsai will demonstrate a few recipes from his new cookbook, Simply Ming One-Pot Meals: Quick, Healthy and Affordable Recipes. After the cooking demonstration, Mr. Tsai will sign will greet guests and sign copies of his book which can be purchased at Macy’s during the event. RSVP: Admission is $5, which will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. No reservations are required, but seating will be held on a first-come, first-served basis.
