Imaginology at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa is a three-day expo with family friendly exhibits and hands-on activities for all ages. Although Imaginology is geared towards youths, anyone with a natural curiosity for S.T.E.A.M. ( science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) will enjoy the event, regardless of age.
Imaginology is free to the public and with myriad exhibits, activities and entertainment options, you’re guaranteed to be entertained. Activities range from sports skill competitions presented by the YMCA of Orange County to live music and magic, animal exhibits, scavenger hunts and a chess tournament, just to name a few. See the complete list of exhibits and exhibitor activities as well as the complete list of competitions.
Today marked the opening day of the expo and it was designated as a special “field-trip day” for local Orange County Schools. Students from elementary school, middle school and high school filled the OC Fair & Event Center to learn, discover and explore all things related to S.T.E.A.M.
Students packed the Hangar to see a magic show performed by Eric Buss. With a mix of physical comedy, witty jokes, slight-of-hand tricks and other improvisations, Buss had guests in the Hangar laughing while simultaneously wondering ‘how did he do that?’
While today was dedicated to students, imagination isn’t limited to age. People both old and young enjoyed the special entertainment, exhibits and activities. Imaginology will continue through the weekend from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Visit the Imaginology website for complete event details, directions and parking information.
